In Summary:
In the political arena, I thank the volunteers
that walk precincts and help to elect Labor Friendly House Legislators and
Senate members to Colorado. Our Local Union is very diverse and this keeps us
strong. One of the things that we have in common as members is our livelihood.
In order to maintain that, we need to become knowledgeable about legislation,
register to vote and volunteer when the need arises.
We are in the process of revamping our Committee
on Political Education (COPE) Program to solicit members to this Committee and
implement a motivated and educated volunteer base that we can all utilize and
mobilize around state legislative issues. We need to register to vote and then
commit to vote and support working men and women through legislative issues.
Acknowledgements:
My gratitude goes out to all the members that
help and support me on a daily basis. I am very fortunate to be involved with
such a great group of people. Your dedication, participation and support are
sincerely appreciated by both myself and this Local Union. Without you on the
front line, my job would be literally impossible to do. I applaud you and extend
my thanks.
