  • Background:

    Classification - Journeyman Lineman.

    Graduated from Archbishop Ryan Memorial High School, Omaha, Nebraska. Attended various continuing education from University of Tennessee, University of Colorado, and various Labor Seminars afforded to me by Local Union 111.

    Member in good standing of IBEW, Local Union 111 since June 1977.

    Employed in the I.B.E.W. for Public Service Company of Colorado.

    Have served in the following positions for Local 111: Steward, Chief Steward, Executive Board Member, Negotiating Committee Member for Public Service, Safety Committee, Chairman of the Lineman's Apprenticeship Program.

    Came on staff as a Business Representative in November 1992.

    Promoted to Assistant Business Manager in May 1994.

    Promoted to Senior Assistant Business Manager in May 1999.

    Office Administrator May 1998 to present.

    PSCo System Supervisory Joint Apprenticeship Committee.

    PSCo Safety Advisory Board.

    Elected as Delegate to the 37th IBEW International Convention.

    Unit Responsibilities:

    • Unit 2, Denver Electric Distribution, Public Service        Company of Colorado.
    • Unit 18, Intermountain Rural Electric Association, Sedalia, Colorado.
    • Unit 34, Designers, Planners, Tech, Associates and Service Investigation, Public Service Company of Colorado.
    • Unit 36 PSCO Greely

     

     

    Negotiations:

    Since the last Policy Committee Meeting, I was directly involved with General Negotiations and the Interest Arbitration for Public Service Company of Colorado. I just completed my 14th successful Agreement with Intermountain Rural Electric Association on November 1, 2006.

    Local Union Responsibilities:

    • Building Manager

    • Computer Specialist

    • Office Administrator and System Supervisory Joint Apprenticeship Committee

    Goals:

    To elevate the wages and working conditions of our membership. To continue and improve the working relationship with the Employers of our membership. To utilize the tools and education afforded to me by Local Union 111 to be an equal with any Employer or Employer Council in any matter surrounding the representation of an IBEW, Local Union 111 Members.
