PSCO GENERAL NEGOTIATIONS RATIFICATION

On September 11, 2009, Judge Greg DiPaolo certified the vote on the PSCO General Negotiations proposal.   The membership voted in favor, by a majority, to accept the Company’s last, best and final offer.

Thank you to the IBEW, Local Union 111 Negotiations Committee for all your hard work, patience and efforts in bringing this package to the membership for ratification.

Protect Colorado's Future

Because workers’ organizing rights are diminished in states with Right-to-Work laws, an average worker earns about $7,131 a year less than workers in free bargaining states ($30,656 versus $37,787).1 Across the nation, union members earn $9,308 a year more than nonunion members ($41,652 versus $32,344).2 Clearly these laws only provide a right to work for less.

Labor Answers Calls for Assistance to Haiti

The massive 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday evening is already being called the disaster of the century for this desperately poor Caribbean nation. The most powerful earthquake to ever be recorded in Haitian history was centered on the nation’s capital, Port-au-Prince, reducing large portions of the city to rubble.
